Getting started & installing the add-in
CoursHub converts PowerPoint presentations into editable, interactive
courses you can export to SCORM. You can work entirely in your browser
at app.courshub.com,
or use the CoursHub add-in directly inside PowerPoint.
Installing the PowerPoint add-in
- Open PowerPoint on Windows, macOS, or the web.
- Go to the Insert tab and choose Get Add-ins (also called Add-ins or Office Add-ins).
- Search the store for CoursHub.
- Select the CoursHub add-in and choose Add.
- Open the add-in from the ribbon to launch the CoursHub task pane.
System requirements
- A supported version of PowerPoint on Windows, macOS, or the web.
- A modern browser (Chrome, Edge, or Firefox) for the full CoursHub editor.
- An internet connection and a CoursHub account.
Creating an account & signing in
- In the add-in task pane (or at app.courshub.com), choose Create account or Sign in.
- Enter your email address and create a password. No credit card is required to create an account or start the 14-day trial.
- After you sign in inside PowerPoint, CoursHub carries your session over to your browser automatically, so you do not have to log in a second time when your project opens.
- To sign out of the add-in, use the sign-out control in the task pane.
To reset a forgotten password, use the Forgot password link on the
sign-in screen. You will receive a reset email.
Importing a PowerPoint presentation
Importing does not change your original file. CoursHub uploads a copy of
your presentation, converts it, and opens the editable project in your browser.
- Open your presentation in PowerPoint and launch the CoursHub add-in.
- The add-in runs a quick compatibility check on your device before anything is uploaded.
- Review the notice explaining that a copy of your presentation will be uploaded for conversion, then choose to continue.
- CoursHub securely uploads a copy and converts it. Your original PowerPoint file is not modified.
- When conversion finishes, the editable project opens in your regular browser, where you can edit, preview, and export it.
Import limits
- Presentations up to 200 MiB.
- Up to 500 slides per presentation.
- The free tier includes up to 2 GiB of persistent project storage.
PowerPoint import and preview, basic corrections, compatible SCORM export,
and project management are available free and do not expire. New accounts
also get 14 days of the complete authoring toolkit at no cost and with no
credit card. After the trial, advanced authoring features are optional and
require a paid subscription. See the pricing page for details.
Troubleshooting
The add-in will not load in PowerPoint
- Confirm you are online and using a supported version of PowerPoint.
- Close and reopen the task pane, or restart PowerPoint.
- On the web, try Chrome, Edge, or Firefox, and make sure the CoursHub domains are not blocked by an extension or network filter.
I cannot sign in
- Double-check your email address and password.
- Use Forgot password to reset your password.
- If a second sign-in prompt appears in the browser, sign in once more; your session will then carry across.
My presentation will not import
- Check that the file is within the 200 MiB and 500-slide limits.
- Make sure the file is a standard PowerPoint presentation and is not password-protected or corrupted.
- If the compatibility check flags an issue, follow the on-screen guidance before continuing.
My project did not open in the browser after conversion
- Check whether your browser blocked a pop-up or new tab, and allow it for CoursHub.
- Sign in at app.courshub.com to open your project from your dashboard.
If none of these steps resolve the problem, email
support@courshub.com
with your account email, the browser and PowerPoint version you are using, and a
description of what happened.
