CoursHub Creator ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who processes it on our behalf, and the choices you have when you use our course authoring platform and its PowerPoint import feature.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Email address, name, and authentication credentials.
• Uploaded Presentations: When you use PowerPoint import, a copy of the presentation file you select is uploaded to CoursHub for conversion. Your original file on your device is not modified. The uploaded copy and the project derived from it are stored in your account.
• Project Data: Content you create or import, including courses, slides, quizzes, glossaries, 360-degree scenes, and interactive videos.
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the platform, such as pages visited and features used.
• Technical Data: Browser type, device information, and IP address.
• Payment Information: If you subscribe, your card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our systems.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the service, including converting your uploaded presentations into editable projects.
• Authenticate your account and keep it secure.
• Store and manage the content you create or import.
• Process subscription payments.
• Understand and improve how the platform is used.
• Communicate with you about your account and the service.

We do not use the content of your presentations or projects to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models, and we do not sell your personal information.

How Presentation Import Works

When you import a PowerPoint file, CoursHub checks compatibility on your device and then securely uploads a copy of the presentation to our cloud infrastructure. The copy is converted into an editable CoursHub project, which opens in your browser. The original PowerPoint file on your computer is never changed. Temporary files created during conversion are removed after the process completes; the resulting project is retained in your account until you delete it or close your account.

Service Providers

We do not sell or trade your personal information. We do share limited information with trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, only to the extent needed to operate the platform. These include:

• Cloud hosting and storage: Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosts the application and stores your account data, uploaded presentations, and projects.
• Authentication: Amazon Cognito manages sign-up, sign-in, and account credentials.
• Payment processing: Stripe processes subscription payments and handles your card details directly.
• Analytics: Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use our website and application so we can improve it.
• Advertising measurement: On some marketing pages we use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure the effectiveness of our advertising.
• Email delivery: We use an email delivery provider to send account-related and support messages.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy and security obligations and only for the purposes described above.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted data transmission using HTTPS/TLS.
• Secure authentication and access controls.
• Protected cloud storage infrastructure.
• Ongoing security maintenance and updates.

Data Storage and Retention

Your data is stored securely on protected cloud infrastructure operated by AWS. We retain your account information, uploaded presentations, and projects for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Temporary files created during presentation import are deleted after conversion completes. When you delete a project, it is removed from your account. When you delete your account, your associated content is deleted, except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal information.
• Correct or update your information.
• Request deletion of your account and data.
• Export the content you have created.
• Opt out of non-essential communications.

Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies that are essential for authentication and session management. We also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to help us understand how the website and application are used. On certain marketing pages we use Google Ads conversion tracking. These analytics and advertising technologies are provided by Google and involve Google processing data as described in its own privacy policy. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Children's Privacy

Our platform is intended for use by adults and educational institutions. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age. Educational institutions using CoursHub Creator with students under 13 are responsible for obtaining the appropriate parental consents required under applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
